Tourmalated Quartz with 14k Gold Prongs Necklace

Tourmalated quartz is a variety of clear quartz that includes tourmaline inclusions. Think of it like this, you have a quartz necklace with tiny little tourmaline crystals growing within it. These inclusions are always so striking to me. The design for this piece is simple, elegant, and timeless keeping attention on the beautiful mineral specimen. This is a mixed metal piece of jewelry. The base of the setting is oxidized sterling silver and is accented with bold 14k gold prongs.
