Petite Pressed Fern Necklace

This beautiful dainty necklace was hand made by imprinting a fern I collected on my morning hike into precious metal clay. Once the the design has been refined, the dried clay version of this pendant was fired in a kiln where all the clay particles burn off leaving pure fine silver behind. From there it was further polished, refined, and oxidized to make the ferns texture really stand out.
