Dendritic Quartz Evergreen Statement Necklace

Lately I have been captivated by dendrites. My jewelry is very botanically inspired in nature, so of course I am drawn to these incredible fern like patterns that run through stones. They can be found in a number of stones such as opals, agates, and quartz. These naturally occurring tree or fern like patterns of iron and manganese are called dendrites. I hand selected this piece of Dendritic Quartz at the Tuscon Gem and Mineral show, and just knew I had to use it in a nature inspired piece of jewelry. The evergreens that embellish the stone and setting were molded from real evergreen sprues giving them life life texture. A truly unique, one of a kind statement piece.
