Dendritic Agate Necklace

This stunning necklace is sleek and elegant. It features a natural, square shaped Dendritic Agate cabochon set in an intricately detailed setting.

People are always amazed when they see these stones in person at my art shows. They think I hand painted the design within the setting. However that is mother nature working her magic. These Agates are usually colorless, white, or gray, and have tree- or fern-like inclusions of iron or manganese, called dendrites which almost look like small botanical paintings within the stone. I decided to keep the metalsmithing simple, yet detailed, as to not take attention from this beautiful, unique stone.
