"Balandra" Chrysoprase Necklace
About the Piece
These vibrant, rose cut, Chrysoprase gemstones were selected for my Azul collection after I visited the beautiful beach of Balandra in La Paz. The color of the water at Balandra was unlike anything I had seen before in my life. It was exactly like those picturesque photos you see in magazines or calendars. The color of these gemstones matched those waters perfectly. I knew they had to be incorporated into this collection. The rose cut facets on the Chrysoprase create some serious sparkle and reflection of light. The design’s metal work features a natural, organic texture that I obtained by molding seashells I collected along the shores in Mexico. Settings sit stationary on an antiqued, sterling silver rolo chain.
